The Dr. Nikki Stewart’s Young Woman in Leadership Award is offered annually to a young woman who exemplifies leadership in every aspect of her life and education. Dr. Stewart’s continued pledge, is to support young woman in leadership. One who applies herself when it comes to her studies, dedicates her time to helping others, and who understands the true meaning of leadership by inspiring the passion and motivation of those around her. This award is accompanied with a with a monetary gift of $500.00 to help support the recipient as they begin their college journey. Eligibility for the award Young woman in her senior year of high school Pass all classes (whatever grade is passing) Participates in extracurricular activities (2 or more) Is an example of an excellent role model who, o inspires others to work collaboratively as a team o takes the initiative and advocates when necessary o demonstrates commitment and dedication, and o Supports her peers This award is made possible each year through fundraising, donations and partial proceeds of YWL2 merchandise.
